The position of Khatib of Baitul Mukarram was known

Finally, the whereabouts of Khatib Maulana Mufti Ruhul Amin of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque who was in 'Secret' has been revealed. He did not come to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after July 26.

The Islamic Foundation assigned four people including two government officials to lead the Friday prayers at the National Mosque after the fall of the government on August 5 due to Khatib's failure to fulfill his duties.

It is known that Khatib, who was appointed on March 31, 2022, lives in Gopalganj. He sought nomination of Awami League from Narail-1 seat in 2018 election.

He has been absent from work since July 26 during the student uprising. The Islamic Foundation issued a notice to him on August 29 asking to know the reason for his absence at work. The notice gives 7 days to know why no action will be taken against him. The deadline for which ended on September 5. But there was no response from Khatib. He did not come to the Friday prayer yesterday.

It is also known that Khatib Rahul Amin is currently in Gopalganj. He is also the Director General of Gauhardanga Madrasa there. Despite several attempts, he could not be contacted. Madrasa teachers and sources close to Khatib said that Khatib is sick. He is at complete rest.

It is known, Hafez Maulana Dr. Mufti Waliyur Rahman Khan has performed the duty of Khatib for the last two Fridays as well. He has been working for 18 years as Muhaddis (5th Grade) in Islamic Foundation Bangladesh. He obtained his PhD degree from Islamic University (Kushtia).

Dr. Mufti Waliyur Rahman Khan is the former Secretary General and Life Vice President of Bangladesh Qoumi Madrasa Education Board Befak, the Principal of Faridabad Jamia and Darul Uloom Mirpur-6 Madrasas and the former Vice Principal of Jamia Imdadia, the second son of former Member of Parliament Hazrat Maulana Ataur Rahman Khan.

He studied at Jamia Imdadiya in Kishoreganj from Hifzul Qur'an to the highest level of Qaumi Madrasah Dawarae Hadith. Besides, Kamil passed with honors from Dhaka Nesaria Kamil Madrasa. A Master's (MA) degree from a university. He received the Ifta (Mufti) certificate from Jamia Hussainia Arzabad Madrasa in the capital Dhaka, one of the top Qaumi madrasas in the country.

The 43rd king of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz, in the International Hefzul Qur'an and Tafsir competition. Mufti Waliur Rahman Khan served as judge. Besides, he has earned the trust of all concerned as a judge in various sessions of the OIC Youth Korat Competition and the National Children's Qur'an Competition.
