A passenger bus plunged into a river after a bridge broke in Russia. 7 people died in this incident. Several people were injured. On Friday (May 10), local officials of the Ministry of Emergency reported this information.
The Russian Investigative Committee said seven people were killed in a bus accident in St. Petersburg. Besides, six people were injured. There were about 20 passengers in that bus. The bus sank after breaking the bridge and falling into the river. After that the rescue workers tried to save it. Rescue boats and ambulances were seen standing next to the bridge.
When the bus met with an accident, the locals went down to the river and took part in the rescue work. The authorities have expressed gratitude to the locals in this incident.
Authorities have released a video of the bus crash, which shows the bus crashing into the river after breaking through the railings of the bridge. Russian news agency RIA reported that the driver of the bus was detained.
