A policeman was killed in a clash in Khulna

In Khulna, there have been incidents of clashes between police and students. A policeman named Suman was killed in the clash. He was working in Police Lines.

Police clashed with students at Zero Point, Gallamari Mor and Khulna University area on Friday (August 2) from afternoon to evening.

Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter at around 9:30 pm.

He said, 20-25 of our people were seriously injured in the conflict and Police Lines Constable Md. Suman was killed.

Mozammel Haque said that the police showed maximum patience. But one of my brothers was beaten to death.

22 people, including four, were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital with gunshot wounds (rubber bullets and shotgun pellets) till 7 pm on Friday. Four of them are in critical condition. At least 20 members of the police were also injured in the incident. They have been admitted to the police hospital.
