There have been several clashes and fires between two groups of the BNP over occupation and dominance of factories in an industrial area in Tangail.

At least 10 injured people were rescued and admitted to Kumudini Hospital. The condition of one of them is critical and has been referred to Dhaka.

The incident took place in the industrial area of ​​Mirzapur upazila of the district on Tuesday night.

According to local residents, since the fall of the government on August 5, there has been tension in the industrial area between the former BNP leader Feroz Haider Khan group and the upazila BNP joint secretary Khandkar Anwar Parvez Shah Alam group over the share of extortion including occupation of factories in the industrial area. The two groups have already tried to occupy some factories. The factory owners and employees were in fear about this.

According to Shah Alam and his group people, 20-30 people including Abdur Razzak, Setu Haider Khan Alim and Hasmat tried to occupy various factories belonging to Feroz Haider Khan.

On the other hand, Feroz Haider Khan and his group alleged that 40-50 activists including Khandkar Anwar Parvez Shah Alam, Arif, Jahangir Sujan, Shaheen, Salim, Alamgir, Pappu and Babul of Joyer's neighborhood tried to occupy the factory.

Locals said that on Wednesday night, the leaders and activists of two groups clashed over the occupation of the office of the workers' party in the area of ​​Ganibhanga bus station. At least 10 people were injured on both sides. At that time, some people were injured, offices were vandalized, motorcycles were set on fire. They also said that the process of the case is going on on behalf of both the groups.

In this regard, the accused Feroze Haider Khan and Khandaker Anwar Parvez Shah Alam have made counter-complaints blaming each other. Both sides said that they are preparing for the case.

OC of Mirzapur Police Station. Mosharraf Hossain told reporters that the police brought the situation under control after the incident. Neither party has filed a lawsuit so far.
