Taylor Swift Expected to Attend Chiefs vs Ravens on Thursday Night: Report

Taylor Swift is expected to attend the Kansas City Chiefs matchup with the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, per Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

The security team in Kansas City has anticipated her arrival and are reportedly prepared for the influx the “Karma” singer will inevitably bring with her.

Although she won’t be on the field, the worldwide pop star is expected to be a popular storyline in the regular season opener showdown.

Swift made her first appearance at Arrowhead Stadium last September. Her arrival sparked attention from fans as well as the media.

In a game against the Chicago Bears, Kelce caught a three-yard touchdown, helping the Chiefs extend their lead to 41-0. The camera perfectly panned to Swift who was seen cheering and shouting “Let’s f—ing go!”

Swift attended 13 Kansas City games last season, despite being a longtime Philadelphia Eagles fan. The Swift and Kelce romance brought an entirely new fanbase to the NFL.

Kelce’s podcast with his brother Jason, “New Heights,” became one of the fastest-growing shows as a result. The tight end’s social media also saw exponential growth.

Swift’s impact didn’t stop there. Her relationship with Kelce caused a 400 percent spike in the tight end’s jersey sales, according to Fanatics. The Chiefs gained thousands of new fans thanks to Swift.

“I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football,” Patrick Mahomes said.

“I know being a girl dad, how cool it is for me to see like these little girls — these daughters — and how much they’re loving to spend time with their dad, watching football.”

Swift isn’t just a spectator of the game anymore. She’s become an avid football fan, so much so that she has started drawing up plays for the Chiefs to use.

“She’s really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions. Started drawing up plays,” Mahomes said. “We might have to put one in.”

The three-time MVP credited Swift for staying grounded despite her fame.

“And then meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is,” Mahomes said. “I think that’s been special to me because she’s, like you said, the most famous person in the world — she could not be.”

The Kansas City quarterback leads a team hunting down a three-peat, but the question remains whether Thursday’s game against the Ravens will be when Swift signals one of her plays to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
