The absconding accused in the hands of the police was arrested by the RAB

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested the absconding accused Shahnawaz Abir Raju after a bite in the hands of the police. He was taken to Rumari police station on Wednesday (March 7).

It is learned that he was arrested on Tuesday (March 7) at around 2pm in the Dhaka Dakshin Khan police station. Raumari Police Station OC Md. Lutfar Rahman.

The accused Shahnawaz Abir Raju, 1, is the son of Ali Azgar of Kasiabari area of ​​Jadurchar union of the upazila. OC Lutfar Rahman said RAB-1 raided the Dhaka Dakshin Khan police station on Tuesday afternoon.

The absconding accused Raju was arrested through information technology. It is to be noted that Raju raped the disabled school student, daughter of Siddique of the same village in the last 4 February. Raju and his family were accused of falling under the cannon of the villagers after the incident. Later, the accused family left his village and took shelter at the house of his aunt Shirina Akhter.

Later, the mother of the rapist Sabina complained to the Rumari police station. In view of this, a group of police raided the area and arrested Raju and read handcuffs. At that time, the accused fled by the police deputy inspector (SI) Awal Hossain at the hands of the accused.

Later, Additional Police Force of Raumari, Rajibpur and Chushmara police stations raided the spot. Raju's mother and cousin (Shirina's daughter) attacked the police.

Raju's mother Abeda Akhter Razia (5) and cousin Runa Akhter, 25, were arrested and brought to the police station on charges of attacking the police. Police searched the house and recovered a domestic Ramda.
