The Islamic Movement of Bangladesh is proposed to change Bangladesh – Bangladesh Diplomat

The Islamic Movement Bangladesh has proposed to rename the People's Republic of Bangladesh by renaming the name 'People's Welfare State of Bangladesh' or 'Bangladesh Public Welfare State'.

A delegation led by the party's secretary general Hafez Maulana Yunus Ahmed appeared at the National Parliament House on Thursday (April 8th) at the National Unity Commission office.

They gave written opinion to Professor Ali Riaz, vice-president of the Commission.

In the written opinion, the party says that the name 'People's Welfare State of Bangladesh' is reflected in the name of the people to ensure the welfare of the people in the name of the state.

The delegation also included the party's Presidium Member Professor Ashraf Ali Akan, Joint Secretary General Maulana Ghazi Ataur Rahman and Engineer Ashraful Alam, Assistant Secretary Maulana Ahmed Abdul Qayyum.
