This is the call of students' movement to return the HSC examination

Considering the current situation of the country, the Ministry of Education has canceled all the suspended HSC and equivalent examinations. Also, how the results will be declared will be decided later. Now the students of Notre Dame College have called for a movement to return that exam. They want to be tested.

On Wednesday (August 21), a statement issued to general students of Notre Dame College called for the withdrawal of the decision to cancel the exams.

According to the statement, the students of Notre Dame College are rejecting the notification issued unilaterally without consulting all parties in the situation arising out of the 2024 HSC examination. The anti-discrimination student movement was organized to ensure the victory of merit. The decision to devalue the merit of hardworking students without taking exams is absurd.

The students presented three demands to solve the problem. The demands are- the situation arising should be brought to a favorable state as soon as possible and the HSC-2024 exam should be organized; The list of HSC-2024 batch students who have been injured in the anti-discrimination movement should be published as soon as possible and measures should be taken to protect their interests. Actions should be decided in consultation with the representatives of the injured hero students. A policy decision should be taken immediately whether they will participate in the examination after a reasonable time or the authorities will not give them auto-promotion or any other approach will be adopted. It should be ensured that the injured students are not discriminated against other students in future.

The statement also said that a sit-in program will be held by the batch of 2024 in protest against the decision to cancel the examination and in support of three points. The program will be held in front of the Notre Dame College Gate in Motijheel on Wednesday around 2 pm.
