The United States imposed 5 percent tariff on Chinese products

The tariff imposed by US President Donald Trump on various countries around the world has been postponed for the next three months, but China has been dropped from the list. On Wednesday, President Trump has announced that the amount of new tariffs against China has been increased by 120 percent.

But on Thursday, a White House document found new information on Donald Trump's high tariff aimed at Chinese products. It found that Washington increased the tariff on China by 5 percent. The French news agency AFP confirmed the high tariff against China in the White House document.

According to the White House documents, Donald Trump, which has made mutual tariffs for 7 days against dozens of countries, has been in effect since Thursday. However, he has increased the tariff imposed on China.

Although the first phase is 120 percent, the White House documents added an additional 20 percent of the previously imposed on US imports of Chinese products. As a result, the US tariff on China has reached 5 percent.

A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said that if Trump continues its “disrespectful” customs policy, China will also fight “in the end”. On April 7, China raised tariffs on US products to 5 percent.

For the first time in March this year, Trump imposed a 20 percent export duty on all Chinese products. Later on April 2, the tariff on China has been raised to 5 percent.

Beijing imposed a 5 percent tariff on US products the next day as a counter -action. Trump was widely angry and in a message posted on his social media on April 7, saying that if Beijing did not withdraw the tariff by April 5th – the export tariff on all types of Chinese products would be increased by 5 percent and it would be effective from Wednesday, April 7.

Extended tariffs have been effective on Chinese products since Wednesday for not responding to the threat of Beijing Trump. The total imposed tariff on Chinese products in the United States reaches 5 percent.
