The government has withdrawn the District Commissioner (DC) of 25 districts of the country. The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday (August 20).
The districts where DC has been boycotted are – Dhaka, Sylhet, Habiganj, Mymensingh, Magura, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Naogaon, Natore, Cox's Bazar, Chittagong, Noakhali, Gazipur, Comilla, Moulvibazar, Khulna, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Sherpur, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Pabna, Bogra, Jaipurhat and Chandpur.
Earlier, after senior secretary, secretary and secretary-rank officials were removed from the posts of heads of various ministries, departments and agencies, district administrators were also removed.

Soon after assuming power, the contractual appointments of senior secretaries, secretaries and secretaries in various ministries, departments and agencies were cancelled. On August 14, the contracts of 11 secretaries including the chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) were cancelled. And the Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD). Apart from this, the officers deprived of promotion are being promoted. Major promotions have already been given to the posts of Deputy Secretary and Joint Secretary. Someone's office has been changed. Newly, secretaries, senior secretaries have been made from among the deprived. These vacancies are filled by promotion from among them. In this way, the reform work started in the administration through the recruitment, transfer and posting of the old ones.
